The drive offers breathtaking views of the rugged Ladakhi landscape, with its unique blend of mountains, valleys, and rivers. Around 10:00 AM, you will reach Chang La Pass. At an altitude of 5,360 meters, it is one of the highest motorable passes in the world. Here, you can take a short break to enjoy the panoramic views and capture some memorable photos of this high-altitude pass. Continuing your journey, you will reach Hemis Monastery around noon. Hemis is the largest and wealthiest monastery in Ladakh, known for its annual festival.
